A classic American story, brought to life for a new generation.
For East of Eden, Framestore’s New York team, led by VFX Supervisor and Executive Creative Director John Kilshaw, helped bring turn-of-the-century California to the screen through period-accurate environments and seamless visual effects.
From expansive CG landscapes and invisible period clean-up to creature work, fire, blood and muzzle flashes, our artists worked closely with the production team to build a world that feels authentic to John Steinbeck’s iconic story, while supporting Showrunner Zoe Kazan’s bold new vision for the adaptation.
