In 1819, the legendary painter Francisco de Goya retreats to La Quinta del Sordo in search of peace — but finds something else entirely. As illness and solitude take hold, he’s tormented by spectral figures that push him to the edge of his sanity. In an attempt to escape, Goya begins painting directly on the walls of his home: the now-infamous Black Paintings.
