Through a calculated exchange and a daring feint, Hunyadi draws the Ottoman army into a confined gorge, turning their overwhelming numbers against them. The Varna sequence represents a defining moment in the narrative of episode 7, built as much around character as conflict. A strong emotional throughline connects Hunyadi and the Ottoman leader, placing both figures in parallel as the weight of their choices and ambitions unfolds.
