MPC Paris delivers end-to-end VFX and image post-production to STUDIOCANAL's COLD STORAGE coming to theatres worldwide in 2026.

For the feature film COLD STORAGE, MPC – A TransPerfect Studio, was entrusted with the entire visual pipeline, from visual effects to image post-production. Directed by Jonny Campbell and produced by STUDIOCANAL, Pariah, and David Koepp — who also authored the original novel — this project places MPC Paris at the heart of the film's technical craftsmanship.

COLD STORAGE mobilized 431 people to deliver 541 VFX shots over an 18-month production period, driven by MPC teams. The technical scope is massive: set extensions, full CG environments, creatures, macroscopic sequences, explosion, and large-scale destruction, as well as meticulous digital retouching of SFX makeup. This diversity engaged every department within the studio, leading to the development of numerous bespoke assets and technical solutions.

SYNOPSIS
When a highly contagious, mutating fungus escapes a sealed facility, two young employees, joined by a grizzled bioterror operative, must survive the wildest night shift ever to save humanity from extinction, as the microorganism spreads and destroys everything in its path. Starring Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), and Liam Neeson (Naked Gun). From the producer of Zombieland and the screenwriter of Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, and Mission: Impossible, COLD STORAGE is an action-packed thrill ride and pure popcorn fun.
