This is the making-of documentary for the short film Chrysalis. ????️
The film combines real landscape footage with digitally animated characters and fully CGI scenes. In this documentary, I go through the full creative process; from shooting real footage and building characters to recording custom motion capture, animation, cloth simulations, compositing, and working with the composer and the sound designer.

All of the imagery was created by one person over the course of three years. I also made this documentary as a record of a way of working that already feels like it’s changing very quickly.
