The Third Floor is proud to have played a part in the storm on Twisters (2024), the high-intensity sequel to the iconic disaster film—providing Previs and Postvis to help shape and visualize some of the most thrilling storm-chasing sequences on screen.

In this behind-the-scenes reel, you’ll see the full evolution of key moments—from early Previs, to refined Postvis, to the Final shots as seen in the film. It’s a look into how visualization helped filmmakers block action, plan effects, and bring cinematic chaos to life.

A huge thank you to Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Amblin Entertainment, along with director Lee Isaac Chung, for the opportunity to collaborate on this powerful adventure. Under the leadership of Visualization Supervisor James Willingham III, The Third Floor team worked closely with the filmmakers to support and execute their vision. We’re also grateful to VFX Supervisor Ben Snow, VFX Producer Mark Soper, and the talented team at ILM for their incredible visual effects work that brought the storm to life on screen.

And a special shout-out to Luke Combs for the incredible soundtrack featured in this reel—his music perfectly matches the energy and emotion of the storm.
