‘Occupational Hazard’ is a visual effects project from the Master of Animation and Visualisation students from the UTS Animal Logic Academy.

As part of the Emerging Visualisation Technologies subject, students had 10 weeks to develop a story, shoot the live-action plates on iPhone, and acquire the necessary on-set data for post-production work.

Throughout the process, students engaged with every aspect of a traditional VFX pipeline, from concept development to final compositing - including motion-capture and heavy effects simulations - gaining hands-on experience with creative, technical and standard production workflows.
