SIGGRAPH 1995:

A narrative exercise in subversion, pretension, furtive montage, and mixed metaphors. An animator finds himself trying to explain his (lack of) artistic vision to his creations, who just aren't impressed.

'the end' is a short film I did in 1995, while I was with Alias/Wavefront (now Autodesk). I did this to test out new facial animation software AW was developing at the time, but it turned into much more than that. 'the end' was nominated for an Oscar the following year, and a smattering of other awards around the world. --Chris Landreth
