Used a combo of Max/TP and Maya/houdini for this shot. The core destruction was Thinking particles, and then most of the smoke and dust was Houdini.

The grade is maybe a bit 'bladerunner' but I think it helped the shot.

Big shout out to Allan McKay's Live Action Course as always :)
