I have a break in my schedule so I finally get to go through the old work. Im' going to start with an oldie but goodie Winter Soldier . Up next CivilWar animatics.
The Fight between Cap and Winter Soldier on the elevated highway from WinterSoldier started off as a fight on a draw bridge:) The sliding cars was in the script , everything else was a fun collaboration with the Russo Bros. There were no boards for this sequence so I choreographed the fight using a lot of the principals of Krav Maga. During this fight we started developing the heightened speed and mobility of Cap and Bucky. Not super men, but they still have to move faster and more violently than a normal human beings. The amazing stunt people choreographed a much better version for the film..but this sequence was able to set up the tone and rhythm for that sequence. Its far from perfect, and I would change a ton if I did it today, but it will always have a little place in my heart.
