When Sonja Schadt is born in Berlin in 1904, her future godfather Lorenz Adlon just received the building permit for his luxurious Hotel Adlon at the Pariser Platz. The Hotel becomes one of the most magnificent in the world - but as sophisticated as the construction might be, the Hotel brings not only fortune for the Adlon family...

RISE was responsible for all VFX in the Television Mini Series produced by Moovie and ZDF. Nothing was shot on location, all exteriors of the Adlon Hotel and the Brandenburg Gate were shot in Munich at the Bavaria Studios in front of greenscreen. The visual effects team at RISE Cologne added historically accurate digital models of the Hotel and the Brandenburg Gate including all surrounding buildings at the Pariser Platz.
