The Shining 'Blood Elevator' recreated with RealFlow & Lightwave

I started this just for fun and never expected to take it this far. Yes, its blobby and the overhead angle resembles chocolate. It took a full month to render on an I-7, 3.2gh quad core, ate up all 12gb of ram and 4gb of virtual, so it was not practical to attempt anywhere near enough particles to mimic the detail of real liquid. Although the current version of RealFlow would accommodate more particles.

This is rendered at half-scale, 140 fps to approximate the miniature from the The Shining. The RealFlow 4 fluid sim used only about 1.6 million particles and therefore it appears thicker and 'blobbyer' than the actual liquid. Post processing was applied in Fusion 6.
