The epic fantasy action thriller based on the beloved Korean web novel and WEBTOON phenomenon, “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,” will finally be available OnDemand and on digital in North America November 4th!

Bringing together some of Korea’s biggest stars on screen, Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy stars AHN Hyo-seop (Business Proposal, Dr. Romantic), LEE Min-ho (Panchinko, The King: Eternal Monarch), CHAE Soo-bin (The Rebel, I'm Not a Robot),  SHIN Seung-ho (A-Teen, Alchemy of Souls), NANA (K-Pop groups After School, Orange Caramel), and the most-followed Korean actress on Instagram, JISOO from the global sensation K-pop group BLACKPINK, in her first leading role in a film. 

Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, is directed by KIM Byung-woo (The Terror Live, Take Point) who also cowrote the screenplay with LEE Jung-min, and is produced by WON Dong-yeon for REALIES Pictures, the studio behind the Along with the Gods franchise.

Combining high-stakes action with mind-bending fantasy, Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy promises to be a cinematic spectacle that will captivate both longtime fans of the Webtoon and newcomers alike. 
Kim Dokja (Ahn Hyo-seop), an ordinary man in his 20s, is the only reader of an obscure web novel titled “Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse”. After having read the last chapter, the novel suddenly becomes reality, and its omnipotent hero Yu Junghyeok (Lee Min-ho) appears before Kim. As the only person who knows how to survive in this world, Kim and his companions strive to save the world by writing his own, new ending.

“Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint”, alternatively translated as "Omniscient Reader"(Korean: 전지적 독자 시점; RR: Jeonjijeok Dokja Sijeom) written by the duo singNsong, is a groundbreaking South Korean web novel celebrated for its unique premise: a fictional world becoming reality. The story follows Kim Dokja, an ordinary office worker and the sole reader of a web novel whose world suddenly mirrors his favorite story. Armed with exclusive knowledge of the plot, Kim Dokja must navigate deadly "scenarios" to survive. This epic narrative, spanning 551 chapters, masterfully blends metafictional elements, a game-like worldview, and profound character development, offering a philosophical exploration of what it means to be a 'reader,' 'protagonist,' and 'story.

DreamWorks Animation, the studio that brought you unforgettable bonds between a boy and a dragon in How to Train Your Dragon, an ogre and a donkey in Shrek, and a robot and a gosling in The Wild Robot, now welcomes a dazzling and emotional story about two lifelong best friends who must come together before they drift apart in Forgotten Island.

The new original film is written and directed by Academy Award® nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado and is produced by Academy Award® nominee Mark Swift, the filmmaking team behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Grammy and Academy Award® winning supernova H.E.R. and Liza Soberano (Lisa Frankenstein, Alone/Together) star as high school graduates Jo and Raissa, who have been best friends since grade school but are now about to embark on separate life paths.

While celebrating their last night together, Jo and Raissa stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali, packed with magical and mythological creatures they grew up hearing stories about from their Filipino families.
Some of these figures will become friends, some foes. Joined by well-meaning-but- hapless weredog Raww (Dave Franco) and a small-but-mighty pack of pals, Jo and Raissa must face The Dreaded Manananggal (Tony winning icon Lea Salonga), the most feared creature on the island. When they discover that the memories of their entire friendship are the price for returning home, Jo and Raissa will race to find a way to leave the island before they forget each other forever.
